FINNTROLL

Finntroll is one of those rare bands that has never taken itself too seriously. The band's existence is a result of a crazy drunken idea, and indeed, without a certain state of intoxication the notion of marrying light-minded schlagers with dark folk metal would probably never have occurred to anyone. When the haze was gone, though, the idea was still there, and ever since that day the band's songs about mushrooms, saunas, mad preacher men Aamund and Kettil along with memories of ancient hobgoblin communities have proved rather a hard pill for all serious-minded critics to swallow.

When Finntroll arrives to brutalise the summery city of Joensuu, it is certain that the mixture of trolling hunting metal and a sip of honey wine will lead many into a similar happy state where the original idea of Finntroll first came into being. Rock'n'troll!
