Skateboarding in Ilosaarirock

Joensuun Popmuusikot ry and Tikari Hateboards join forces again this year for a skating event during the Ilosaarirock weekend, offering all skaters a chance to show their true colours. The event takes place in the skating park right next to the Ice Rink (see map).

Friday's S.K.A.T.E. contest is open for the 30 first people who sign up. Enrolment starts at the skating park on Friday at 2.30 pm.

The Mini Ramp Jam, which was a huge success last year, takes place on Saturday. It's open for 30 skaters who will be skating in the mini ramp all at the same time. Enrolment starts on Saturday at 1pm.

The brightest stars in both events will be rewarded with Tikari products and tickets to Ilosaarirock 2008.
