Cutdown
Cutdown belongs to the greater Helsinki HC scene, and even on record the band's metallic hardcore sounds so sturdy that in the heat of a live performance it's probably enough to raise the Ice Rink roof by a few feet. On their second, self-titled album Cutdown collaborates with the rapper Raipat from the band Kaucas, but this should not be interpreted as a sign that the band has fallen in love with gimmicks or unnecessary embellishments. This music boils and sizzles from start to finish. For the friends of uncompromising, meaty but traditional roughness, Cutdown is a must-see.
