Disco Ensemble's world domination tour is nowhere near approaching its end. The band's third album Magic Recoveries took the combo again a long haul from what their previous release, First Aid Kit, offered years ago. Good records bring good luck, the band was again positively noticed in many new circles, and new tours were soon underway first in Europe, then in the USA. The band's occasionally even maniacal new tracks serve an omnivorous buffet of what's best in the endless sea of pop, rock and punk – heavily rotated single hits like Bad Luck Charm or Headphones are a sure proof, to name just two examples.

Chances are that experienced Ilosaarirock Festival goers are probably already familiar with Disco Ensemble, but novices are strongly advised to update their musical must-see lists in this respect. Word of warning, though: Disco Ensemble serves such a riveting live experience that one simply cannot leave before the band has thrown their very last notes to the air. Last summer, the band hit the jackpot on Main Stage and did not let the heated atmosphere cool down one bit even when a terrible mid-summer monsoon hit the festival ground, but turned the muddy ground into a huge dance floor instead and went on partying like cavemen. No reason to believe that exactly the same can happen this summer, too – maybe, if Gods are merciful, even in sunshine this time.
