Eläin
This fresh and forceful band represents Joensuu's music circles at this summer's Ilosaarirock Festival. Although their original idea was to play music that is as listener unfriendly as possible, something went seriously wrong: these days Eläin sounds like an orchestra with more than little hit potential. Their tightly turning riot is of course much too sharp to be in any way "easy" or "nice", but the chunks that get caught in your throat are welcome in the regular produced-to-death gruel.
