Happoradio
On their first hit single, Happoradio yearned to get away from Kallio, a fashionable district of Helsinki, but half a decade later they are still in the midst of us. In fact, since the band saw the light of the day in Joensuu in 2001, it has become one of the standard accessories in the Finnish rock scene, released four full-length albums and put out hit singles one after another. The songwriter Aki Tykki knows how to write catchy tunes that you find yourself humming for the rest of the day and lyrics that have a tendency of sneaking into your day-to-day vocabulary. Power choruses and robust riffs, that's the formula that the band has turned into a loyal following and a handful of gold albums.
