Major Label
Helsinki-based Major Label plays much-praised alternative metal and has often been compared, and not entirely inappropriately, to Deftones. The debut from 2007, ...And the Machines Will Never Wake Us, was unanimously accepted by critics as one of the most surprising albums released that year. The second release When I Am With You You Are Safe was, unlike the popular cliché goes, not hard to make at all, and this is audible in the lively and imaginative way that the music leaps and dashes forward. Three musicians are just enough to sound like a much bigger band if the skills are adequate, and in case of Major Label, there can be no doubt of the latter.
