Stam1na
Almost in secrecy has Stam1na – straight from Leml in Southern Karel1a – grown to be one of the top bands in the Finnish alternative scene. In spite of their mainly metallic mood, their inherently sympathetic rampaging appeals to many kinds of audiences, even to those who do not understand the literal purport of the band's Finnish lyrics.
This summer, Stam1na was planning to have a well-deserved holiday, but what can you do if the invitations to come and play gigs just don't stop, regardless of whether the band members have observed their statutory days off or not. Eventually, then, Stam1na decided to climb back into the tour bus and throw a modestly dubbed summer tour called Kymppihän riittää ("A Tenner Is Just Enough"). The public wants it, the band hears it, the audience gets what it went in for. In the end of the day, that's what loud rock music is all about, right?
