Not too many thirty-something Finnish men can be credibly compared to Stevie Wonder or Curtis Mayfield, but that is just one of the awesome feats that Tuomo Prättälä is capable of. In 2007, this charming all-rounder of Finnish rhythm music told the world what his very own thing is by releasing the appropriately named debut album My Thing, and rarely has the Finnish music press got hold of an album that they would love so unconditionally and so unanimously. This year, he spoiled his listeners rotten second time with the delicious follower Reaches Out for You. During his rather short solo career, Tuomo – and by now we can happily reveal that even his Finnish fans don't too often use his tongue-twisting surname – has already familiarized himself with almost every top position that this country's charts and polls can offer, but certainly even the most worldly-wise entertainers cannot resist a cheerful audience on a warm summer afternoon. Groove is all around, it only takes a soul man to catch it.
