Right from the first chords, the front row girls smitten with Happoradio. Finnish rock with a big heart, hit after hit, first off Hirsipuu. Some girls a bit to the side are waving a sign saying “Aki we love you!” Lead singer Aki Tykki is a sought-after man in this crowd.
After a couple of songs, the jumping has infested even the back row. Itä-Suomessa tuulee gets a very convincing sea of hands.
These double birthdays have room for only hits, and that’s OK. Happoradio and Ilosaari have a very respectable combined age of 50 years. The song list shows this, including among others HC-sää, Linnusta sammakoksi and Tavikset. One fine birthday party!
