Joensuu Pop Musicians' Association
Best known for their annual effort for Ilosaarirock Festival, Joensuu Pop Musicians' Association is a live music association that promotes and supports pop and rock music in Northern Karelia and contributes to boosting its artistic quality. Founded in 1971, Joensuu Pop Musicians' Association also organises Rokumentti Rock Film Festival and grants awards to young musicians from their funds. In addition, they are also responsible for numerous club events, concerts, concert trips and band exchange projects on their own and In Co-Operation with with other events both in Finland and abroad.
This summer the 40th Ilosaarirock Festival takes place on Laulurinne Festival Site in Joensuu from 15th to 17th July. Ilosaarirock Festival has become known for its characteristically original programme, and again this year the festival offers an opportunity to see dozens of exciting artists both from Finland and abroad. During the three-day festival weekend some 100 bands take to the Festival's five stages and clubs.
Music Managers Forum Finland
The main objective of Music Managers Forum Finland is to strengthen the appreciation of the creative business in relation to the co-operation partners and to build a better awareness of and esteem for the work of a music manager, particularly in music industry. We endeavour to create managerism a well-functioning working environment and to establish music managers a firm stand in the Finnish music business. Almost all Finnish music managers belong to Music Managers Forum Finland. We are a member organization of International Music Managers Forum and work, in particular, in association with our Scandinavian sister organizations.
