ACCOMMODATION DURING FESTIVAL

The festival organiser Joensuun Popmuusikot ry has arranged two different ways to crash out during the festival weekend: Ravileirintä camping – a temporary campsite that is situated right next to the festival site and school accommodation in Lyseon Peruskoulu, 10 min. walk from the festival site. These are reserved only for the festivalgoers so be prepared to present your ticket or your wristband on arrival.

Also Linnunlahti Camping, town’s official campsite is open during the festival.

Any unauthorised camping and parking in the surrounding areas are controlled by the festival security together with police. SETTING UP A TENT IN ANY OTHER THAN DESIGNATED CAMPSITES IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Sleeping in your car is ONLY permitted in Linnunlahti camping.

Ravileirintä operates during the festival weekend from Thursday 15th through to Monday 19th July and is guarded. There are lavatories all around the site and access to water. Because this is a temporary campsite there are is no shower facility. Linnunlahti Camping operates the site. Palloilukeidas across the road offers possibility to shower, the price is 2€. Please print the Accommodation form (pdf) and fill it in and hand it over on your arrival, this will speed up the process of signing in. Ravileirintä opens up Thursday 15th July at 18.00 hours and stays open until Monday 19th July 12.00 hours.

Prices for Ravileirintä camping:
From Thursday 15th through to Monday 19th July   15€/per person
From Friday 16th through to Monday 19th July     10€/per person

Cars are not allowed in the campsite but there is a designated carpark where cars can be left.

School accommondation, Lyseon Peruskoulu, Koskikatu 10 is operated by the festival organiser and can be booked in advance from the Pop-office via e-mail: questions@ilosaarirock.fi. Price is 8€ per person, per night, payable on arrival. The price includes a mattress in a classroom and possibility to shower. Cafeteria serves breakfast for a reasonable price of few €’s. Also a luggage deposit is operating where you can leave your valuables. School accommondation opens on Friday 16th July at 15.00 through to 12 o’clock on Monday 19th July. You have to confirm your reservation at the school by 17.00 on saturday. The free festival bus stops at the school.
