STELLA

Stella released its first album Kuuntelija in 2004. Ever since, this Joensuu-based band has had a career full of sudden changes, both pleasant and not so pleasant. One of the tough moments was when they got kicked out from their first record company. One of the better ones was when Stella's song Piste. was performed in the Finnish Idols and became a genuine overnight miracle hit two years after its original release.

Despite the hot and cool blown by other people, Stella themselves have never let the things happening around them affect their own work. Last autumn the band started to record their second album, ending up processing it for almost four months. The result is Pelkääjän paikalla, an astonishingly dramatic, beautiful and haunting album. The songs are intimate, but at the same time capable of growing into such epic heights that there's no doubt they can easily fill every nook and cranny of the Main Stage.
