Skateboarding in Ilosaarirock
Joensuun Popmuusikot ry and Tikari Hateboards join forces and organise a skateboarding event during the Ilosaarirock weekend. In this event, band members from, among others, I Walk the Line, Lighthouse Project, and Anal Thunder will be seen skateboarding instead of playing.
A maximum of thirty participants can take part in the Mini Ramp Jam event on Friday. Enrolment in the event starts on Friday at about 2.30pm. In the finals, which take place after elimination trials, the best contestants will be rewarded with tickets to Ilosaarirock 2007 and Tikari Hateboard decks, just to mention a few prizes.
On Saturday there will be another skateboarding competition, also with a limited number of contestants. Enrolment for the Saturday competition starts at about 1pm. Prizes include tickets to Ilosaarirock 2007, and Ilosaarirock and Tikari Hateboards-related products.
"This is an event that will be ruled by those who best master the curved space and sport the best attitude. The format of the game is jam which means that those who dive into the ramp the most hungrily are the ones who get the most time in it. You are very welcome to come and brawl in our ramp."
