TWILIGHTNING

High speed, high volume, high register — that's the success formula of an average power or heavy metal band in any part of the world. But Twilightning, from Eastern Finland, wanted to make some slight but important changes to the recipe and decided to shake hands unashamedly with hard rock, thus cleverly avoiding trotting the same paths as so many power metal bands before them had done. Their latest release, Bedlam EP, is another step towards a rockier, rawer attitude.

It is a well-known fact that the Japanese have got a thing for skilful Scandinavian melodic heavy metal. Twilightning, too, is now locked in the hearts of many dwellers of the island empire. Thanks to their Japanese tours, the band has matured into a streamlined live entity that does not hesitate from coming, seeing, and conquering even the smallest of venues.
