If Lemmy Kilmister and Magnus Carlson from Weeping Willows decided to start a band together, what do you think it might sound like? Probably it would sound just perfect, but unfortunately this is just playing with a thought that is rather hard to prove in real life. Lucky us, though, since at least we've got Viikate, treating the melancholy-loving people with iron and danger already since the year 1996.

Viikate started as a duo, but during their six-album-long career they have recruited two new members, alongside honing their act into a very impressive conglomeration of 1950s style instrumental rock and heavy metal. As anxiety and depression belong to the wintertime, so does Viikate belong to the dark but hot YleX stage.
