YOUR FRIEND GEORGE

Your Friend George is a good mix of different people. Emilia Kaasinen, George's vocalist, is a visual artist by profession, but has been composing songs all her life. Timo Seppälä, the guitarist, has participated in many projects as an arranger, composer and improviser. Antti Halmetoja, the bassist, and Juha Räsänen, the drummer, are talented squirrels who make every listener's feet tap to the sound of their rhythms.

Each member of the band has a down-to-earth attitude to being part of Your Friend George. They don't feel tied down by the usual pressures that being a band can bring, like the pressure to create a strong band image. The Georges' future is unknown, but the feeling is good and the musicians' love for music will carry them forward. Your Friend George has just released their debut album We All Deserve to be Honored, a fine, refreshing start for a great career to come.
