Joensuu celebrates the 35th anniversary of Ilosaarirock Festival

FIRST NEWS OF ILOSAARIROCK'S LINE-UP OUT TODAY

Ilosaarirock, a 35-year-old rock festival held in Joensuu, Eastern Finland, announced the first news of its next July's line-up today. The eight non-Finnish bands that have so far confirmed their appearance in this year's festival are Mudhoney (USA), Entombed, Katatonia, Raised Fist, Silverbullit (all SWE), Carpark North (DK), Kid Koala (CAN) and Capleton (JAM). More foreign guests will be announced later. More than forty Finnish acts will also be seen at the three-day festival.

During its entire history, the festival has presented bands and artists from both Finland and abroad, including various genres of popular music. This summer's Ilosaarirock will take place in 14th, 15th and 16th of July. There are 20 000 entrance tickets on sale from May 2nd. The festival has been sold out for eight successive years.
