Being on one’s own ground is always an advatage, and for Stella to open Sunday’s program on the main stage is hence perfectly justified. The last remnants of the overshadowing clouds were banished when the Joensuu-based group played their radio hits and other tunes awaking the festival crowd into a new day.

Stella has the ability to chill internally by sending shiwers down the spine even when the sun is burning the skin externally. This is how the festival Sunday should always start! The band also knows how to make the most of performing in their home town: the songs influenced by Joensuu functioned as a special treat for the towners, especially if one is to believe the stories heard between the songs.

The set list consisted mostly of songs from the latest album, but also older songs were included. And without a doubt every member of the audience heard their favourite hit to dance and sing along to. Stella was definitely in the right place at the right time.
