There once was a gal who wanted to find a festival sweetheart…
– It can’t be that hard, finding that precious someone. All you got to do is raise your hand and he’s there, sayeth the naive, lovelorn sap.
I couldn’t help it, I simply had to set out for this amazing adventure. Web press staff had alerted me to a hot tip, according to which a girl’s dream could be easily found at one special Ilosaari staple: the skateboard competition. And how did all that pan out, you ask?
Unaware of all the disappointments this girl was yet to face, from the swarm of contestants, I spotted the one – the king of my dreamboat.
Unlucky for me, the royal ship had sailed far beyond where a regular gal like me could follow. Why do women always have to fall in love with men who are either douchebags or way beyond our reach? There were dozens of sweet dudes at that comp, and I just had to set my sights on the king. How dumb does a gal have to be to fall for the unreachable.
– It did no good kneeling or singing praises. I tried my best, but my king would only look on into the distance, denying me even the faintest inkling of hope.
What is there for a gal to do, being rejected by her festival love? Well, the only thing you can do is to wipe off the sweat, place the chin firmly on the chest and move on towards future festival romances!
