Ocean Sized
Oceansize was probably one of the most expected acts in this years Ilosaarirock. Band’s music takes the listener from steady seas to huge ocean storm’s. Kolmoslava-stage’s third act on saturday definitely put on a ocean sized performance.
Oceansize’s music is difficult to categorise and the only way to find out is to see for yourself. The people at Kolmoslava-stage witnessed Oceansize to be as good live as on CD. One can only amaze how the band can create such massive sound with a basic rock set. Oceansize is what real epic rock is all about. The act was tight and energetic concentrating on the main thing, the music.
Most of the songs presented at Kolmoslava were from the band’s 2007 Frames album. Yet the most glorifying moment was when the band played I Am The Morning from the band’s 2003 debut album Effloresce. Infront of the stage the hard core Oceansize fans stayed long after the band had finnished, loving the feeling the band’s great act had left to them. If you were there you saw one the most unforgettable acts in this years Ilosaarirock.
