Fortunately, there’s Lapko
Lapko served its artsy rock to amazingly full YleX tent in the Saturday afternoon. A year has passed since they released their latest album Young Desire, but Lapko’s charisma endures. The trio kept to the fundementals and the results were convincing. They rocked.
The gig consisted mainly of songs from the new album, and the crowd loved it. It’s exactly the polished live show that makes Lapko a real crowd exciter. The songs aren’t your average rock clichés, but complex up-and-down routines with progressive flavour.
Lapko is really on form, which was proven by the fact that the tent was bursting at the seams. The music rocker, the band chemistry worked, the guitars screamed for mercy, and the message brought the people to their knees. Difficult music to dance to, but that didn’t discourage the crowd.
The show was a success, and the band teased the rock crowd with promises of new material, some time in the future “after the gardener has weeded out the excessive runners” from the material. Simple, stick-to-the-basics, timeless rock music.
