Sunshine to our souls
One just can’t stay still when The Valkyrians take the stage. The ska band from Helsinki was the opening act at Rentolava-stage and a good call from the organizers. Despite the poor weather The Valkyrians were able to create an atmosphere that lifted everybody’s festival spirit.
The energetic and positive music attraced more and more people towards Rentolava as the act went on. People were taken over by the Valkyrian spirit. Through out the gig one guy danced in the rain with his shirt off. Infront of the stage a group of people created a human chain dance act. Songs about love, life and weather made everybody smile and in the Valkyrian spirit it was impossible not to dance. The Valkyrians really showed what Ilosaarirock is all about and brought sunshine to our souls.
