Sara uncorked the YleX Stage on Saturday
It hardly makes a difference whether you label Sara’s music metal or alternative hard rock. The band has found its own style which defies all attempts to classify or categorise their music. Despite the early time slot the band managed to gradually fill up the large YleX tent.
The thick wall of sound created by the three guitarists manage to allure people to move with the music, and those who knew the lyrics seemed to sing (or at least hum) along. The black-clad band members started off little stiff but warmed up during the gig, and especially the singer began to move about the stage.

Sara’s music and the Finnish lyrics have been defined as goth rock, and journalists have gone as far as to talk about Cure influences, but the Saturday’s show made perfectly clear that Sara has grown and come to its own with their industrial and pop rock influences. You could not have wished for a more devoted and inspired start for Saturday.
