Joyous feelings with Emma Salokoski Ensemble
As the Sunday’s opening act on YleX Stage, Emma Salokoski Ensemble didn’t give any easy listenings for the audience. Combining jazz, pop and South American rhythms, the band forced the listeners to pause and concentrate. In return, they threw themselves fully into the show and the audience received a splendid festival experience.
During the gig the energy levels began to mount and after the show, both the band and the crowd were sincerely happy with their time together. Emma Salokoski’s bright voice was tailor-made to open the second festival day. The ensemble together with Salokoski formed an harmonious entity that wasn’t afraid to take chances and head for the road untravelled.
The YleX tent was full of dedicated people, who had the opportunity to get acquainted to sounds from different parts of the world. The cheerful show evoked sunny thoughts and warm feelings in the cloudy Sunday afternoon.
