A concentrated dose of love

06klausthunder_tp01.jpgConcerts of Klaus Thunder & Ukkosmaine are known as events where the confusion of new listeners is quickly converted into nonhesitant admiration. However, instead of first-timers, the front of the truck stage was full of mostly young women who knew the love-filled choruses by heart.

According to some rumours, the group suffered from a minor case of stage fright, as this was their first real festival concert on a big stage and in a familiar neighbourhood. Despite of the duo being more accustomed to small stages, vocalist Klaus captivated the audience with his divaesque manners.

The set was an even compilation of tracks from all of their releases, and not unexpectedly songs from their sold-out first album were met with most eager response. Their retroesque dancepop sound nods to the direction of such Finnish groups from 1990’s, but has evolved into its own distinct direction. Only time will tell how big arenas Klaus Thunder and Wilhelm Meister, the keyboardist extraordinaire, will conquer.
