Forces of darkness took over the main stage as the dusk began to settle. The most eager fans of Bodom had populated the front of the main stage from the moment the gates of the festival area were opened. The masters of Finnish melodic metal didn’t disappoint their black-wearing fans. The mood was ectatic as the bodomites took over the stage.

Janne Wirman’s keyboard often featured on the main stage’s video screens along with guitarnecks. Alexi Laiho shouted into his microphone with such an intensity there was no doubt his vocals were heard all the way to the centre of Joensuu.

Dresscode of the audience was free, as long as it was black. Not even an autumnal rainy forest is more gloomy. There was no doubt their trip from Espoo to Joensuu was not in vain.
