Death made entertaining

32_eleanoora_al_01Eleanoora Rosenholm’s world is bleak. The group has plumbed the depths of death and murder imagery for a couple of albums now, and even though their output has always been one delivered with a side of crafty smile, the not-so-faint fragrance of death has always clung to their songs. Therefore, today’s gig in the middle of sunshine must’ve been one with conflicting emotions. How to be dark and mysterious in circumstances where even the slightest evidence of artificiality or pretense is immediately revealed by the glaring sunlight?

The band’s answer to this is simple: concentrate on the music and forget everything else. No background stories, no theatricality, just the songs. Which were delivered with ease, worked like charm and most of all, were entertaining.
