It’s 13.15 and the first band has just started on the Main stage, which means that Ilosaarirock has officially started.

We hope that the weekend will be warm and sunny, and so far it seems that our wishes have been noted. Few light showers here and there might help to clean and refresh the air, so that everybody can carry through the weekend.

The web crew is working hard on the backstage, and for the time being everything seems to go smoothly. Murphy’s Law seems to be still in effect however, as some of the toilets got bunged up, but not to worry, help is on the way!

This year the Main stage’s line-up consists mainly of Finnish artists - Asa and his crew fired off the the whole thing with their rhymes and beats and soon it’s Stratovarius’s turn to blast the festival people’s socks off. They are tuning the six-strings already.
