If a band is named after a car which is sparkling and sympathic, one can’t help thinking if the same applies to the band. The Micragirls from the neighbouring town of Kuopio brought their Nissan as saturday’s third act to the Rentolava- stage and set up a proper garage rock party.
In this case sparkling and sympathic only refers to the name of the band as the three ladies in black rocked strong. Heavy drum beat, freaky harmonic sound and occasionally funky singing are in the essence of the band. Perhaps this attracted more and more listeners as gig went further. Electric Chair Twist got people jamming like grazy, though the band’s performance was cool and elegant. “Let the music speak for itself.” seems to be The Micragirls’ main message and it’s a good idea to let it stay that way. These ladies can ROCK!
