Lapko combines alternative rock with elements from metal music and progressive rock, and the group has become a staple at rock festivals and on the pages of music magazines all over the world. The trio released their third album, LOVE, in 2012 and in the process discovered their true selves. Along with the bared bottoms on the album cover, the band also stripped their songs down to bare essentials. What the listener is left with is pure emotion, and plenty of it.

This band is known for its gigantic choruses, bubbly, undulating riffs, tight playing and the instantly recognizable vocalizations of Ville Malja. They have managed to compose grand, epic pieces that do not give in to commercialism. Songs such as River Venom, All the Best Girls, I Shot the Sheriff and Killer Whales are great examples of the band’s repertoire and unique sound, without forgetting a bit of cheekiness along the way.

Lapko is a beloved guest at the Ilosaarirock Festival. They are currently on a break from touring, but have agreed to come to Laulurinne just for you. This is a must-see gig for everyone who considers rock music a passion!
