Speedtrap
Speedtrap is all about speed metal – fast, hard, high. Fingers run along the strings faster than eyes can see, the guitars are howling, and the drums are thundering. These young long-haired fellows pay homage to the legends of speed metal but have added their own spices, too. That's why it is so easy to get excited about them, whether you are a true metalhead or an avid fan of pop music.
Speedtrap is a part of the same generation as Lost Society and Ranger, who also perform at the Ilosaarirock Festival. All these bands are united by the overwhelming joy and excitement of playing heavy metal. The Finnish metal scene has truly needed a burst of fresh air, and these bands have delivered.
