The Finnish soul man Tuomo aka Tuomo Prättälä released three solo albums as well as playing in countless groups such as Quintessence, Ilmiliekki Quartet, Huba, and Emma Salokoski Ensemble until he decided to take a time out. He locked himself into his room, listened to music, worked on demos and generally sought for a new direction for his music. After four years of creative work, he emerged with an album called The New Mystique.

And boy, what a record The New Mystique is! Reviews have been raving and a few of them even gave the album the full five stars. On the album Tuomo brings together smooth synthesizer soul from the 1980s and electronic elements from the early 1990s. Sounds horrible as a concept but works like a charm on the record. Tuomo's prowess as a musician and especially on the mic is well known, but never has the man sounded so committed to his work before. The ground-breaking and genre-busting record is a definite ear candy. You can rest assured that Tuomo will give the songs soulful arrangements and skilled interpretations live as well. World class rhythm music guaranteed!
