Volbeat, founded in Copenhagen in the beginning of the 2000s, has quickly become one of the biggest European rock bands as well as a fan favorite at festivals across the continent. The Finnish audience has embraced the band since their first albums and now it's the time for them to take over the main stage at Ilosaarirock Festival!

Volbeat originally hit the ground running with their compelling mix of metal and rockabilly. Recently their style has steered towards classic rock with a metal vibe, dominated by Black Sabbath riffs and the singer Michael Poulsen's strong melodies. In 2013, the band welcomed a powerful reinforcement, guitarist Rob Caggiano from the thrash metal legend Anthrax. Volbeat caravan arrives at Ilosaarirock Festival to present a real rock spectacle: big men with big guns. It's going to be loud.
