The dark toned rock of Lasten Hautausmaa draws comparisons to the dense rock’n’roll of the 70s. Their fifth album Kevät, released in February 2022, introduced a more mature sound where the band’s melancholic essence gets mixed in with a hint of light. It’s intoxicating.
Lasten Hautausmaa is made of their 70s rock influence, their wistful melodies and singer Kriistina Vaara’s precisely placed lyrics. With these elements, the band has firmly taken their rightful place within the Finnish live music industry. Lasten Hautausmaa’s ability to combine the sensitive with the silly has made their gigs the almost soul purifying experiences that they always seem to be.
